Musings and poetry on life as a sober woman I have 4+ years smoke free and 14 years sober with some life experiences to share with like minded people. Writing poetry began one year after I celebrated quitting smoking. Putting pen to paper for the first time was akin to opening a lavishly scarlet wrapped precious gift. Smiles and synonyms all around!
I have a mix of thoughts, poetry and
opinions/views. I can't imagine posting political poo-poo here. But I do come
across some things that I think are worth sharing...
I was 50 years old when a friend introduced me to poetry. He wrote me a poem when I was 50 days quit from smoking. Over the months he kept encouraging me to try my hand at it. Well, to shut him up I did! My first poem recieved so much positive feedback and I have been writing ever since. As things happen in my life or as I see the world around me I find greater and greater rewards when putting pencil to paper. I'll share some of my work here, perhaps some visitors will also share...
